Increasing Breast Cancer Awareness to Augment Breast Biopsy Device Domain Growth
Growing breast cancer prevalence and increasing population of aging women, along with rise in breast cancer screening programs and popularity of minimally invasive surgeries, are instrumental in the growth of the breast biopsy devices domain.
To identify cancer biomarkers in the blood via genome profiling, liquid biopsies are being conducted due to their low risk and non-invasiveness. They are advantageous owing to their ability to faster detect the disease progression and treatment resistance.

The domain is also progressing due to the growing awareness about breast cancer due to increased initiatives and efforts by governments and private organizations in sensitizing people about it. For instance, a National Breast Cancer Screening Programme is carried out by the Dutch National Institute of Public Health and the Environment under the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, which invites women between 50 and 70 years of age for a mammogram every two years.
